Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your safari guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Take time to relax and prepare for the journey ahead into the wild.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire, a beautiful park known for massive baobab trees, large elephant herds, and seasonal migrations. Enjoy game drives along the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Head to Lake Manyara, a compact park with diverse habitats. Explore forests, acacia woodlands, and the lake itself, spotting flamingos, hippos, and possibly the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.
Day 4: Lake Manyara – Central Serengeti
Travel through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands and enter Serengeti National Park. Begin game drives in Central Serengeti, a year-round wildlife hotspot known for big cats and plains filled with antelope and zebra.
Day 5: Full Day in Central Serengeti – Big Cats & Resident Wildlife
Enjoy a full day exploring Central Serengeti. This area supports a high concentration of predators—lion prides, leopards, and cheetahs—as well as giraffes, elephants, and a mix of migratory and resident animals.
Day 6: Central to Northern Serengeti – Into Migration Territory
Drive north toward the Mara River, where the Great Migration typically unfolds (July–October). Along the way, look for huge herds of wildebeest and zebra and possible predator-prey interactions in open grasslands.
Day 7: Northern Serengeti – Witness the Great Migration
Spend the day along the Mara River, where dramatic river crossings often occur. With patience and a bit of luck, you may witness wildebeest brave crocodile-infested waters. The wildlife spectacle is unforgettable.
Day 8: Northern Serengeti – Final Game Drives
Enjoy another full day tracking the herds and observing life along the Mara River. Capture final safari moments among open plains, riverbanks, and rocky outcrops dotted with wildlife.
Day 9: Serengeti – Fly Back to Arusha / Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a scenic flight back to Arusha. Enjoy lunch or visit a local cultural center before your transfer to the airport for your international flight.
