Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will meet and transfer you to Arusha. Take this day to rest and prepare for your exciting week in the wild.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs
Your adventure begins in Tarangire, home to large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Game drives offer views of diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and birdlife around the Tarangire River.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Birds, Forests & Big Cats
Travel to Lake Manyara, where the Rift Valley meets lush groundwater forests and a sparkling soda lake. Look out for tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and troops of playful baboons.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Enter the Wild Plains
Drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and into the famous Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy wildlife sightings as the landscapes transform into endless savannah, home to predators and grazing herds.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti – Big Cats and Big Herds
Spend the day on game drives deep in the Serengeti, following the rhythm of nature. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, or spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – A World Within a Crater
After breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the vast volcanic crater. This unique ecosystem is packed with wildlife, including rhinos, buffaloes, and hippos in the crater lake.
Day 7: Return to Arusha – Safari Memories
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before driving back to Arusha. Depending on your flight time, you may explore a local market or have lunch in town before your airport transfer. End of safari.
